    The stages of aquatic awakening

There are 3 stages to discovering water:
    - Familiarisation: build trust and overcome apprehension
    - Immersion and breathing: control your breathing to feel safe and put your head under water.
    - Floating and moving: develop independence and discover how the body behaves in water before moving around alone.

    Buoyancy by size

This is an inflatable buoyancy aid for learning to swim (standard EN 13138-1:2021)
It meets the requirements of the 30 newtons standard, but buoyancy is increased depending on the size:
    Size 1: 86 N (+/- 6N)
    Size 2: 110 N (+/- 6N)
    Size 3: 132 N (+/- 6N)

    Why an inflatable vest?

This inflatable life vest is part of the “Discovering swimming” experience

An adult who cannot swim but is relatively comfortable in the water uses their arms and legs and needs a great deal of freedom of movement to fully enjoy their experience.

They will start to learn the first movements of swimming from a vertical position to a more oblique position. They still need a lot of buoyancy.
