    The stages of aquatic awakening

    There are 3 stages to discovering water:
    - Familiarisation: build trust and overcome apprehension through fun games. The kid gets used to water.
    - Immersion and breathing: control your breathing to feel safe and put your head under water.
    - Floating and moving: develop independence and discover how the body behaves in water before moving around alone.

    Why use adaptable armbands?

    Given the fact that it’s often difficult to find the correct flotation aid for your kids and to anticipate how well they take to the water and their confidence, we designed the new Tiswim. With its modular design, this progressive armband lets kids discover the pleasure of playing in the water, moving around and learning their first swimming movements in complete safety.

    What are the 3 ways of using the Tiswim?

    Step 1/Initially, the Tiswim is used with all the parts (armbands + belt in front)
    Step 2/Armbands only, to start moving in the water in a vertical position
    Step 3/Belt only positioned at the back to discover the swimmer’s position (horizontal) and the first movements of swimming.

    Secure fastening system

    The adjustment strap on the front chamber is equipped with a 3-point buckle to prevent the kid from removing it themselves.
    The buckle requires at least two simultaneous or sequential actions to prevent unintended opening.

    How does the valve work?

    The TISWIM progressive armbands-waistband have PVC one-way inflation valves.
    To inflate the product correctly, press the base of the valve to open it.
    The valve closes mechanically in about 2 seconds. As such, it is normal for a bit of air to escape after inflation. This is why you must close the cap quickly.

    How much should I inflate the different parts of the Tiswim?

    The armbands are always inflated to the maximum. However, you should ideally inflate the second chamber directly on your kid’s arm.
    It’s best to inflate the belt before putting it on your kid, when it’s going to be used in a front or back position.

    How can I adjust the belt in the front position?

    When the product is optimally used. Inflate the front chamber, and position it on your kid’s chest. Tighten the strap on the back, as you usually would. When in use, make sure that the front chamber doesn’t rise up to your kid’s chin, to avoid it rubbing. If needed, don’t hesitate to reposition the product on your kid’s torso.

    Recommendation to avoid premature discolouration

    After use, rinse your product and do not leave it in direct sunlight.

    The Tiswim progressive armbands-waistband complies with buoyancy aid standard EN 13138-1 for learning to swim. Its buoyancy volume significantly exceeds the standard requirements (70.1 newtons when the product is complete, 42.6 Newtons for the armbands alone with a standard requirement of 25 N, and 27.5 Newtons for the belt alone, with a standard requirement of 15 N)
