Co-developed with Yannick Bestaven (winner of the 2020 Vendée Globe) to withstand a demanding round-the-world race
The Tribord Offshore PRO set has been developed and tested with Yannick Bestaven and other partner skippers. It meets all their needs during their races, whether they’re inshore or offshore, transatlantic, solo or with a team, and on different boats: Yannick Bestaven (IMOCA), Quentin Vlamynck (Ocean 50 and Figaro 3), Achille Nebout, les Voileuses au Large, Keni Piperol (Class 40), Romain Le Gall (Figaro 3) and Léo Bothorel (Mini 6.50)
How to wear these merino wool-lined dungarees
They are designed to be slipped underneath sailing dungarees, thanks to their supple and thin components.
The cut is close-fitting, with adjustments at the bottom of the jacket and at the cuffs.
Wear it with the merino-lined jacket, code 8754947.
Always at just the right temperature
When it comes to sailing, our challenge lies in designing products which always keep you at the right temperature, alternating between highly active phases (heat production) and static phases, whilst being exposed to the wind (heat loss).
These merino-lined sailing dungarees:
1- protect against the cold,
2- wick away perspiration and limit body odours, thanks to the merino wool
3- wind-proof and water-repellent,
Insulation from the cold
Following a thermal analysis of the human body, we identified sweating zones and heat loss during active and passive phases.
We’ve selected the appropriate materials:
- Merino wool (250 g/m2) for its insulating properties, even when wet.
- fleece in addition to the wool in certain areas
- breathable mesh to evacuate sweat.
These 3 options vary according to the parts of the body.
Sweat evacuation and odour limitation
The merino wool also boasts the property of limiting odours (ISO 17299-3 lab-testing). During long sailing trips, it’s a real must.
Wind-proofing and water-repellency
The external fabric offers effective protection from the wind, which often makes you cold. It is water-repellent, so the Offshore Pro Series merino dungarees are not waterproof.
Opening to go to the toilet
The central double zip and the rear opening zip mean you can easily go to the toilet without taking off the entire dungarees midlayer.
The overalls also have a front zip opening so you can urinate without having to open the dungarees completely.
How to choose the size of your merino dungarees
The cut of the dungarees is close-fitting. It has been designed to be worn with thermal base layers.
For men, choose your usual size.
For women, we recommend choosing a size smaller than your usual size.
Rip-tab adjustment on the straps mean that you can fit the dungarees to your size.
A Elastane ankle cuff is used to adjust the dungarees to your body shape and makes it easier to put on your boots.
It weighs 887 grams in size L
