What makes this jacket waterproof?
The waterproof rating is tested according to the JIS 1092 standard: it measures the resistance of the fabric to a water pressure expressed in mm of water column. The higher the value, the better! For instance, 5,000mm (or Schmerbers) means that the fabric can withstand a one-hour shower. To ensure reliable results, values before washing are indicated.
Why wear a windproof jacket?
The coating applied to the inside of the fabric makes it waterproof AND windproof. This dual function efficiently protects the body from cooling down, whether your children are exerting themselves or at rest.
Why a breathable jacket?
The RET value measures the ability of the fabric to wick your child’s perspiration outwards, avoiding uncomfortable moisture on the skin. With a RET value of 12, this jacket offers good breathability. Scale: <6 = extremely breathable, <12 = highly breathable, <20 = breathable, >20 = not very breathable.
How can I keep it waterproof?
Maintain effective protection for your child’s jacket! Reactivate its protection after ten outings in the rain, or every three washes, not forgetting to rinse it thoroughly. It’s easy to do: 15 minutes in the tumble dryer or use a hair dryer at a distance of 20cm
