How is this jacket waterproof?
Waterproofing is tested according to JIS 1092: the fabric's resistance to water pressure is measured as the height of a water column in mm. The higher it is, the better! For example, 5,000 mm (or Schmerbers) can withstand a one-hour downpour. These values are given before washing to ensure reliability.
Why wear a windproof jacket?
The coating applied to the inside of the fabric makes it waterproof AND windproof. This dual function effectively protects your children from getting cold, whether they are active or at rest.
Why choose a breathable jacket?
The RET rating measures the fabric's ability to wick your child's perspiration away from their skin, preventing discomfort from moisture. With an RET rating of 12, this jacket is highly breathable. Scale: <6 = extremely breathable, <12 = highly breathable, <20 = breathable, >20 = not very breathable.
How to keep it waterproof?
Make sure your child's jacket stays effective! Reactivate its protection every three washes with a good rinse, or after ten outings in the rain. Easy to do: 15 mins in a tumble dryer, or dry with a hair dryer held 20 cm away
