A dobok for learning taekwondo |
Unlike judo, taekwondo involves actually striking an opponent. You're not allowed to grab their dobok, except in self-defence.
To give you the freedom of movement you need for your taekwondo moves, we've designed a loose-fitting dobok.
And because this dobok is for youngsters, it's made from a light, supple twill fabric weighing just 190 g/m²! |
Which size of dobok should your child get? |
You won't be surprised to learn that the right size of dobok (110 to 150 cm) depends on your child's height!
Our doboks are made from cotton and have a natural tendency to shrink a few centimetres during the first 3 washes.
That's why we suggest choosing a dobok that's 5 to 10 cm larger than your child's height.
For example: if your child is 1.35m tall, choose a 140 cm dobok. |
Caring for your dobok |
We suggest airing out your dobok after every use. To keep it white, be sure to wash it regularly. One pointer? Wash on a cold wash for the first few times. After that, you can wash it in temperatures up to 30°C.
When you dry it, it's best to let it air dry and avoid using the dryer. |
