Where inadequate, the body cools and reduces blood circulation in the hands to retain the heat at the core. Gloves and clothing must be suitable to keep hands at a comfortable temperature. If in doubt, it is better to choose a pair of hiking gloves which are a little big rather than too small.

The dexterity of a glove is its ability to manipulate objects. Our gloves have been scored in the laboratory on a scale of 1 to 5. The higher the dexterity score, the closer the grip when wearing the gloves to bare hands. In particular, we tested how easy it is to get a jacket on and open it while wearing the gloves.The dexterity of these Trek 100 liner gloves is rated 4.
